After this past winter, global warming is on the top of my mind. Not that you can directly contribute the lack of snow to warming, but I am sure it plays a role. One of the major causes of pollution is cars and gasoline, and with oil prices so high it would seem that people will stop driving so much and or buy more efficient cars. Already, Toyota has said they are working hard at producing more hybrid cars such as the Prius.
Gunjan forwarded me an article about Smart cars and how they are going to start importing them to the United States. Unfortunately, the article also mentions that the company does not believe Americans will buy the car and are thus making an SUV. I think if gas prices stay high, Americans will welcome a small car which gets 60mpg. At least I’d like to think that is the case…
