I have been enjoying the early season snow and had some good turns at Alpental and Hyak. Too busy to post pictures and reports, but rest assured they will be up in the near future… This weather has me very excited for the winter, although we have a high pressure system camped out for the foreseeable future. This reminds me a bit of my first winter here four years ago. When the precip came, the temps dropped to 32F or below, allowing the snow to fall. This is in stark contrast to the past three years – whenever the heavy precipitation came, the temperatures rose. I guess only time will tell on how this winter will play out.
