The snow was wet and heavy, but Trevor and I were incredibly happy to be out in the beginning of November at Alpental. We caught up with a friend of Trevor’s while skinning up Sessel and he decided to join us. It was snowing hard, visibility was bad and conditions looked a touch unstable, so we decided to forgo the upper half of the mountain and play in the deep snow on Debbie’s Gold.

Coverage was excellent for the time of year and after a short ski, we skinned back up to the top of Debbie’s for another run. On all but the steepest sections, it was slow going due to the amount of new snow. Even coming down the bottom of Sessel, the coverage remained solid.
