Trip Report
Finally had some sun and the avalanche conditions were relatively stable. Trevor and I decided to go exploring around Lake Lillian, not expecting good ski conditions. We basically did a reverse loop of when I went to Lillian last year, and found some surprisingly good conditions. The ski down to Gold Lake was nice, although we could have taken a sportier route in hindsight. Above Lake Lillian, we climbed 700 feet on a north facing slope and found a stash of light and consistent powder. The slog out was long, but we hooked up with a logging road and we were so tired by the time we were skiing out, that we didn’t even enjoy the soft corn snow turns back to the car.
