Trip Report
After a long week at work, I was excited to get out in the early season snow. The top of Hyak was now well covered and the snow looked good. After skinning up the mountain at breakneck speed, I got a quick ski in from the nob, meeting back up with Maria and Sherry. We went back up to the top and all of us skied down half way down the mountain. At certain points, I hit the crust beneath the snow, but it was quite a run for the end of November.
We skinned back up towards the top of Keechelus lift and made our way over to Roz’s for the final ski down. The terrain was fun, as downed trees and terrain undulations provided many a bump to ski over. Towards the bottom the going got a little tricky, with Maria almost launching off a small drop-off.
