I can't believe it has taken me this long to ski Red Mountain - I stare at it all the time when skiing Alpental. Tim and I made good time up Commonwealth basin and skinned up the entirety of Red Mountain, which isn't a small feat given the steepness of it. As we were skiing down, at least four different groups were making there way up, most opting to kick steps up even though we had set a nice, albeit somewhat steep skin track. The ski was great, with soft corn snow on a steep slope. The slog out wasn't much fun, but it didn't take that much time.

red mountain from commonwealth basin tnt coming up looking down tnt and trooper easy does it nice and steep soft corn snow near the bottom
