Trip Report
Another August, and this time a trip to Baker was in order. Forecast was calling for a big storm coming in the afternoon, so we got an o’dark thirty start and were moving along the trail from Artist Point a little before eight. We traversed out towards The Pinnacle and then worked our way back, snagging a couple of different small descents of around 600 feet. The sun finally came out once we started skiing, but it never really softened up, and the steeps were nasty with deep sun cups and somewhat frozen snow.
