Needing some time to rest after the 16 hour bus ride from Dehli to Manali, we decided to do some sightseeing around Manali the following day. We went down to the town of Naggar, and went to the art gallery of Nikolai Roerich. Roerich was Russian, but had spent most of his life living in the Kullu Valley during the early 20th century. Naggar Castle was next on our list and it afforded beautiful views and bad beer (stay away from Golden Eagle Beer). The castle was now a hotel, but the architecture and intricate wood work was impressive.

We headed back into Manali where we meet up with Peter, a Tibetan friend of Trevor and Emily. Peter talked with Tyson about his experiences living in India as an exiled Tibetan and shed some light on the current situation in Tibet. To end the day we went to the Hadimba Temple, built in 1553. The inside was very small and dark, built into the surrounding stone.
