We opted for a three day African Safari in Kruger National Park. I had been on a 8 day safari in Tanzania and Kenya about five years ago, but this was Gunjan's first time. After getting picked up in Jo'bug early in the morning, we finally arrived at camp in the early afternoon. We relaxed in our tent before heading out for a night drive, seeing giraffes, antelopes and a water buffalo. It was summer, and the vegetation was thick, making it harder to see the animals. According to our guides, the optimal time to view wildlife is during the winter. The following day was spent entirely on a game drive, and we saw all the Big 5, save for a leopard. The variety of wildlife we saw was amazing, although we barely got to see the pride of loins, as they were lazing in the thick bush. The next day, we went for a game walk in the morning, and then headed back to Johannesburg.
