Mount Si
Feb 10, 2005With no snow, I decided to go for a hike up Mount Si. It was a beautiful and sunny February day and it was a little sad that I choose, or was forced by conditions depending on how you look at it, to hike on this fine day. There were about 10 cars in the parking lot, a low number as this is the most hiked trail in the state of Washington.
With temperatures in the upper 50’s, I did the hike in shorts and a t-shirt and kept a brisk pace up the mountain. I was doing this more to stay in shape than enjoy the scenery, so I didn’t bother to stop more than a couple minutes to hydrate on my way up. Once at the top, I found a spot on the rocks, sat down and took in some sun. It was a bit chilly in shorts, and after 10 minutes I decided to head back down the trail.
