Paradise Day Hike

Gunjan and I went for a hike around Paradise. This was Gunjans first time to Mount Rainier and this was my first time at Mount Rainier without skis. We did a nice loop that put us out above Panorama Point. The landscape around certain sections of Rainier made me think of the moon, devoid of plant life and full of scree fields. It is interesting to see how much the topography can change in a couple of miles, from grassy meadows, to broken rocks to alpine and glaciers.
