Twin Lakes
Jun 30, 2004I got out of work and decided I had energy for a quick and easy hike. The forest was filled with various wildflowers and I spent more time taking pictures of the flowers than hiking! I wish I new what the different types of flowers were...
After a quick mile, I ended up at Twin Lakes. The trail continues another 2 miles and then intersects with the Pacific Crest Trail. I decided to follow the Catherine Trail past the lake and onto a forest service road. After a quarter of a mile, the road dead-ended and I turned around and went back to the lake where I snapped some more pictures. Just like Snow Lake, the sun was shining directly at me, so I traversed along the shore line until it was too muddy to continue. It seems evening hikes in this area just aren't conducive to photos...
